Clark's Super Friends
Clark's Superfriends are a group of loyal, loving superheroes inspired by Clark's Kirschner's winning smile and super attitude. Clark is a fun-loving five year old who loves superheroes, lightsabers, and trains. Come join Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Jedi Knights, and other superheroes as we walk with Clark (Superboy). Wear a Superman (or other superhero) T-shirt and be a part of the Down Syndrome Connection of Northwest Arkansas Inclusion Walk (formerly the Down Syndrome Buddy Walk) at Arvest Ballpark on Saturday, October 14th from 10 am - 1 pm.
Clark is named after Superman's alter ego, Clark Kent. His older sisters are Katherine Lois, Genevieve Lane, and Alexandra Lara (Superman's mom's name). Clark and his dad dress up as Superman each year and Clark's sisters dress up as Supergirl or Wonder Woman. Superheroes are a great way to connect with kids and with kids at heart. Clark's Superfriends know that having fun dressed as superheroes is a great way to make people smile and to bring joy and hope to many. Superheroes are also a great way to start conversations about God-stuff.
Think of all the connections between Superman and Jesus: Superman has heat vision, Jesus has eye like burning fire according to Revelation 1. Superman has super-hearing, Jesus hears all your prayers. Superman walks on air, Jesus walks on water. Superman will save you from a burning building, Jesus will save you from a burning eternity. Superman (Kal-El)'s last name is the Hebrew word for God (El). A heavenly father sent his only son to earth to be a light to show the way and to give people an ideal to strive towards. That is true of both Superman and of Jesus. Clark and his family are big fans of Superman and are devoted followers of Jesus.
